PEER REVIEW PROCESS

All manuscripts submitted to NUKHBATUL 'ULUM: Jurnal Bidang Kajian Islam must comply with the journal’s Focus and Scope as well as the Author Guidelines. Submitted manuscripts should demonstrate academic quality, originality, and relevance to the journal’s field of study. Manuscripts may be written in English or Arabic and must meet acceptable standards of academic language and clarity.

All submissions must be original and must not have been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal. To ensure academic integrity, all manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using similarity detection software such as Turnitin or iThenticate before entering the review process.

The journal implements a Double-Blind Peer Review process, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review procedure. Each manuscript that passes the initial editorial screening will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field and are not part of the journal’s editorial staff. If necessary, the manuscript may be evaluated by an additional reviewer to obtain further expert opinion.

Reviewers are asked to evaluate the originality, methodological rigor, scholarly contribution, clarity, and relevance of the manuscript to the journal’s scope, and to provide constructive feedback for improvement.

Based on the reviewers’ reports, the Editor-in-Chief or Handling Editor makes the final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection of the manuscript. The final editorial decision is made based on academic merit, reviewers’ recommendations, and the journal’s editorial standards.

The journal does not guarantee manuscript acceptance or a fixed review completion time. The peer review process is conducted thoroughly to maintain the quality and integrity of published articles.
